Declan Hickey

Senior Property Consultant

Declan Hickey began his real estate career and joined Edwards Windsor in February 2019.

Coming from a background in hospitality a hardworking and honest family man, Declan made a change in career after the birth of his second daughter in December 2018. Declan has great passion for customer satisfaction and achieving great results that all can be proud of. A driven, energetic and enthusiastic young man, Declan is determined to make a difference in real estate by bringing his strong work ethic, morals and genuine desire to help people into the industry.

Declan understands the stresses involved with buying and selling property and strives to deliver a calm and simple process for his clients. Born and raised in Hobart he has watched the city and surrounds grow and prosper. Having attended the Friends School from Prep to Year 12, Declan stands for honesty, integrity and fairness. He believes his experience and values place him in the best position to provide a competent, compassionate and confidential service to each of his clients.

Declan understands that the real estate process is and should only ever be about achieving the best possible result for his clients, through knowing their requirements and timelines and pairing those to get a buyer who can best match said requirements. He understands that it is not a game of simply numbers through the doors, or high expense advertising, but of careful planning, negotiation and matchmaking to get the best buyer. Most of all Declan carries a genuine care for his clients, for as much as the focus in the industry is on the properties, it is at its core a people business.

In his spare time Declan enjoys spending time with his family, often at the park or the pool, playing futsal and attempting to play golf. A social being Declan loves to engage with friends and family whether it be on the latest project or simply catching up and reminiscing.
